Choi Hi Woo
Choi Ji Woo is a talented korean actress who can boast to have worked alongside other Korean talent such as Bae Yong Joon, Lee Byung Hun and Kwon Sang Woo.
Choi Ji woo was born Choi Mi Hyang. The Winter Sonata actress began her exploits into the Korean Showbiz scene in 1994 when she was discovered in an audition organised by MBC. She changed her name to Choi Ji Woo when filming the 1995 Korean Drama Series War and Love
Choi Ji Woo, debuted with the War and Love Series and following the success of that, the following year she began filming with Bae Yong Joon in First Love. Her popularity and fame only began to blossom after she filmed the series Beautiful Days (2001) where she played an orphaned girl suffering from leukaemia where she starred alongside Lee Byung Hun.
In 2002 she then linked up with Bae Yong Joon again to film Winter Sonata which apparently triggered the Hallyu in Japan and led to the success of the series throughout asia. Choi Ji woo gained a large fan base in Japan and her Japanese fans referred to her as Princess Ji Woo.
Choi Ji Woo’s popularity increased further foolowing the filming of her next tv series Stairway to Heaven where she starred alongside Kwon sang Woo in 2003 and aired in MBC Korea.
